Mod Manager comes with one small sample mod for RE6 (remove "input device change" text). I used to have an extra 2 sample mods, but I separated them as they're rather big. If the Nexus Mod Manager still doesn’t work, then switching to Vortex can be helpful for downloading mods. Vortex is the nice middle ground between Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) and Mod Organizer (MO).
